Games / My OSRS Progress

My account is an Iron Man, named Iron Deity.
It's on the oldschool version of Runescape.

I've had several accounts, some of them exceeding level 100 (such as a level 132 before EOC with 94 Agility and some 99s)
Now I'm starting again, this time, as an Iron Man.
My goals? To have fun while playing, to still have the challenges and struggles of when I was younger, minus the fact that I'm bilingual now. There's so much to do, I've got pretty close to Quest Cape on a couple of accounts, but it's one of my goals on my Iron Man if I don't grow tired of OSRS so soon.
Want to join me on this epic journey? Feel free to! I'm always looking for people to skill/train with!





For comparaison, my lastest account before my Iron man, an account that I gave up on as there was not much challenge. (Pretty weak, but for the number of accounts I've owned since 2004 or so, and the time I've put on it, it isn't too bad.)

Suggestions & Ideas / Dagannoth rings

My suggestion is to buff the dagannoth rings (Berserker, Archer, Seers', Warrior) rings and to nerf the Ring of Stone & Ring of Vigour.

The idea behind this is to implement more diversity between our gear. I find the idea of having a single ring being the "best ring" easy.
Easy as in, you can own a single item to have the best stats out of that gear slot.
Using these rings would force us to use more items in-game, leading to a bigger use of the game content, without leaving it to the abysses.

Being similar to the "Attack bonus"... Melee used to have a wider range of stats, being Stab, Slash and Crush. Having these forced us to use different gear in different situations, may they be PvM or PvP.

This topic is about forum signatures, I'm well aware that I've already created a topic concerning these, but this one can also be considered a different suggestion.

My suggestion this time, is to allow us to either enable, or disable signatures in various posts we make.
The utility of a such thing, would be to save some space in threads. I can use my clan page for example.
My first post in the topic, being about the clan, got my forum signature in it, and all 3 other reserved posts have them as well. For my side, I'd disable my signature in the following 3 posts, if not even in all 4 posts in it, to save space as it's an information page.

Feel free to give your opinion on this.

Are there any D2X players here? I know that it's an old game, but still a great one!
If you are interested you can buy it on G2A for like 15.14$ which is not much for the game + the expansion! (Instead of ~$20 on Blizzard's site)

I don't play Ladders, I play open Battle.Net but I am not cheating in any way, except if to you, /players 1-8 is cheating. But it isn't.

Always looking for some players to join me and my cousins from time to time!

Right now, my character is a Summoner Necromancer level 40 and going up. Playing in Nightmare.

Suggestions & Ideas / PvM Ranging from regular Monsters to Bosses

Before you start casting your vote in the poll, I'd like you to take a moment to read what this is really about.
It's meant to be a suggestion, based on people's opinion on the current gameplay.

I'm curious to know, while meaning to suggest harder PvM, players' opinion on the game, about how easy they think it is, about the droprates, about their experiences so far, etc.

I, for my side, think that bosses, and pretty much most monsters are too easy to kill. Having decent/good gear doesn't help much about that opinion, but pretty much every single NPC is soloable in-game.
While I find that it's a great thing, in a way, because it makes you not require a group to help you kill the bosses, I think that having monsters and bosses so easy to kill, make the game perhaps too easy and the economy quite unbalanced as well. It'd be great if in-game money was worth more...

Drop rates as well, are quite high, may it be 1 in 111 chances, 1 in 200, 1 in 500 or 1 in 1000, I think that most items are obtainable too easily as monsters are easy to kill and easy to farm.
Prayers help a lot in this case as well, perhaps I would now agree with RS3's idea to make protective prayers not 100% effective anymore.

More difficult monsters, bosses and rarer drops would mean more challenge in the game itself, more challenge to achieve MORE. Some players reached the point to seek out for 200m experience in one or many skills as new goals, because they have already achieved so much. New content will be needed to counter that, but if it's easier as well, they'll easily get over it.

So now, I'm curious to know your opinions on these matters, and feel free to debate your ideas.

They are located in the High Wilderness, at level ~58.
Wiki mentions that we're supposed to be able to pickpocket them at level 32 thieving, yet I was unable to pickpocket them with a level of 33, also no message mentioning another required level had appeared.
They can be attacked.

Off-Topic / Need some graphical artwork

I'm looking for someone that could make me specific artworks for a project of mine.
It isn't something too huge, nor too small.
I think it'd be quite simple but for two reasons, I can't do it myself...
1- I'm not really talented with arts
2- I don't have the required softwares that I'd need to create them with my current unexisting skills.

So if it interests you the slightless, feel free to reply to this or send me a private message and I will give you the details. Although I'll be looking forward to see one of your graphical artworks before just to have an idea of your talent. We'll discuss a price as well.

It'd be nice to have our text continue on the next line instead of having our sentences cut off when typing too much,
it'd save use from retypping the words that got cut off, which happens quite often to nearly everybody... Except muted people.

I'm already aware that some signature limits exist, but I feel like some more are needed.
I agree that signatures should allow us to use some pictures and gifs, but I feel like some signatures are just too big, taking too much space on topics, because of multiple pictures, may they be big or small.
I mean, some signatures take 200-300% more space, than the actual reply itself!

I think that setting some limits could be a way to go, may it be max file size, or pixels per pixels, it could save lots of space, and allow more replies per page while on a topic.

Current Limits; Max characters: 550; Images in your signature must be no higher than 420 pixels
 
Edit: I just took a moment to examine the current limits, image limitation by pixels do exist, but perhaps it is still too large, as we can clearly see 2-3 big images in a single signature, one bellow each other, making it even "bigger".

The bug here is, upon creating a clan, it must be 13 characters or shorter, if not, we'll be unable to create a clan...
Although, what's wrong is, when you create a clan with exactly 13 characters it won't let you join the Clan Chat.


As you can see on the image, I was able to create my clan with exactly 13 characters, yet when I tried to join it back (as seen in the same chat, just before the delete & remake), it was trying to join "Cult Of Zaro" instead of "Cult Of Zaros".

Here's a picture that shows one of the "bugged" dialogues;

Bugged as in, it begins on the far left and sometimes gets off the dialogue screen, like shown above.
I suppose it's something quick to fix, like adding more dialogue pages instead of extra text.

My suggestion would be to add some chances to get extra runes from RuneCrafting, with a percentage. Like 5-20% chance to get extra runes when RuneCrafting. It wouldn't be much, but in the long run it'd help get a few more runes, something nice I believe! Like 5% experience bonus isn't much, but in the long run, it helps a bit!

Why the idea? Because my suggestion is based off the Cooking Gauntlets, these grant 5% experience bonus when cooking food but also will make sure that you won't burn any food! OP much?

My idea is to either add some nice things to the actual item,
or to add a second item with nice attributes as well!

Resolved Bug Reports / Tormented Demon Drops

Just to make sure, when we take most of a monster's HP, we usually get the drop, right?
For example in Godwards, or Corporeal Beast, if we take most of its HP away, we get the drop, no?

Then I feel like Tormented Demons are an exception to this rule.
I'm aware that when we die, or leave them unattacked, they'll heal a part of their HP, but often I realize that even when I leave them with less than 10-20 HP, by dying or other means, if someone starts attacking them, it seems that they'll be getting the drop instead of me.

I can use a real example of dying when the Tormented Demon had probably less than 10 hp left, I came back as soon as possible (Teleport to GE for quick banking, then Ferocious Ring to Varrock Slayer Dungeon, then Tormented Demons) and as soon as I got there, the Tormented Demon I was killing was already getting killed, and after it died I didn't see any drop.

So I feel like they are excluded from the Most damage rule. Care to explain this, or perhaps fix this?
