Suggestions & Ideas / A couple of small forum suggestions.
« on: April 04, 2015, 02:03:45 am »
Here I have 2 suggestions regarding the Emps-World forums:

1. "Official Guides" thread.

This was including in the old Emps-Scape forum, which I'm sure most of you old players remember. It was an extremely useful thread, which separated all the good quality guides from the rather poor effort guides (no offence to some of you), which was essential to beginners who were clueless about the game and were trying to find "proper" guides.

2. "Show new quote replies to your post" added to the Bright Forest theme.

As shown here, there are two wonderful features contained in the Bright Forest theme forum, "Show unread posts since last visit" and "Show new replies to your posts":

I strongly believe it would be a great idea to add a new feature, which shows new quotes to your replies. I am unaware of how hard this will be to add, nor do I think it is that necessary. However, I do think it would be a great add on to this theme, as it would make it easier to see what other players have quoted about your say in a topic.

Feel free to add any feedback, cause I'd love to see what the community has to say about these two suggestions.

Off-Topic / HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST BROTHER EVER <3 <3 <3
« on: April 03, 2015, 11:00:04 am »
You've been the best Emps-World friend anyone could possibly ever ask for, which I'm so thankful for. You've been there for me regardless, and we have so many memories together! I'm so glad with how close we've gotten and how we talk on a daily basis. Who would have known that a random game like this could develop such a great friendship..

Happy 18th birthday Plats, you're a legend who deserves the best birthday ever! :)

Posted at 12:00AM New Zealand time, love ya bro <3

« on: March 31, 2015, 05:21:26 am »
Hey guys! I've resigned from the staff team and will be quitting Emps-World. There are many reasons behind this, some being pretty personal. I'd like to thank each and every one of you for being such a great community. I'd also like to thank the staff team for being the best team I could possibly ever ask for, love you all <3. Also, a huge thank you to Martin for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the staff team, and for being so understanding throughout everything. I really hope that I've proved myself as a good moderator to you along with the rest of the community. Everyone has been extremely great, although there are a few players that I'd like to mention for being amazing friends throughout this long journey.

Ahrim Ghost, Weed4u2, Range 4 Meee, Tgod Bro, Big Chris, Freestuffyay, Yaz, Eliminator, Esam121, 1egend, Pure Ranged1, C4 Nerd, Martin, Simonyoda3, Icedrags, King125, Mary, Fate, Joshiee, Deandam7, I Pk Ur Nan, Appelsientje, George12, Bubblebeam2, Kluke, Charr, Zodiacsreign, Suryoyo K0, Zeepleeuw, Nosegrab, Iownu5xbtr, Ch4mp5, Pur3 3vil, 40thkat, Pr4y3r, X5 X5, Estpure16, H A R L E Y, Il Pk I, Phpkk, 66destroyer3, Ralphe10 and L M A O 99.

I'll definitely update that list if I've forgotten people. Don't feel left out if you're not on it, cause everyone in the community has been great <3. These are just a few friends in particular that I'd like to mention. :)

I don't think I'll be coming back, but I wish the best of luck in real life to everyone and I'll definitely miss you all!

Peace out.

Guides / Emps World - Skill Guide: Fletching
« on: January 13, 2015, 02:34:55 pm »
Emps-World | Fletching Guide

Table of contents:
I.  Introduction
II.  Fletching Darts
III.  Fletching Arrows
IV.  Fletching Bolts
V.  Fletching Bows
VI.  Skillcape

I. Introduction:
The fletching skill has various uses. It can be used to make bolts, arrows and bows. This skill is mainly log based, which means it works in a great combination with woodcutting. Although this seems very straight forward, fletching bolts, darts and arrows requires a lot more work.

II. Fletching Darts:
Darts are fletched by using the desired dart tip with feathers. You can fletch up to 15 darts at once, but it gives the same XP as doing one at a time. Feathers are dropped by chickens, or can be bought for 1 coin each at Gerrant's Fishing Equipment store in Port Sarim.  Dart tips are obtained from smithing them, thus requiring a certain smithing level varying on the type of dart. Below is a table of the level requirements to make each bolt tips, followed by the XP rates and level requirements of each dart.

Smithing requirement levels for each type of dart tip:

Requirement and XP rates for each type of dart:

III. Fletching Arrows:
Fletching arrows consists of arrowtips, feathers and logs. Once again, arrowtips can be smithed. Logs are obtained by chopping normal trees. Firstly, you'll need to fletch arrow shafts from normal logs (won't work with any other log). This is done by using a knife with the log, and selecting Arrow Shafts. A knife can be bought from any general store for 6 coins. Once you've done this, you will have 15 arrow shafts. Furthermore, you'll need to use feathers on the arrow shafts. Doing this will give you headless arrows. To turn these headless arrows into actual arrows, you will have to smith arrowtips. This will also require a certain smithing level, varying on your desired type of arrow.

Requirement and XP rates for each dart:

IV. Fletching Bolts:
Fletching bolts contains a few resources: unfinished bolts of different kinds, feathers, bolt tips and gem bolt tips. Bolts also require smithing, as you'll need to smith the unfinished bolts. Use feathers on the unfinished bolts to make them ready to use. If you'd like to make these bolts even furthermore powerful, you can enchant them. This can be done by using the appropriate enchanting spell in the normal spell book. Enchanting the bolts adds a special feature to each of them.

Requirements and XP rates for each bolt:

V. Fletching Bows:
Bows can be fletched by using a knife on any desired log to make a shortbow (u) or longbow (u). With this item, you can string it and make a complete bow. Bows can be strung by using a bowstring. Bowstrings can be crafted using flax, which can be collected at the Flax field located directly south of the Camelot bank. To craft a bowstring, collect Flax from the Flax field and then head North-West to a small building located beside the graveyard. From there climb up to the second story of the building using the ladder, where you’ll find a spinning wheel. Spin the flax on the spinning wheel to create bowstring.

Here is an image of where the flax farm is located:

Requirements and XP rates for each bow:

VI. Skillcape:
Once you've reached 99 fletching, you can buy the skillcape from King Percival, who is located in the White Knights Castle in Falador. The untrimmed fletching skillcape costs 158,593 coins, whilst the hood costs 55,507 coins. This cape can be trimmed by right-clicking on it and using it on King Percival.

Both capes:

Special thanks to Plats (Ahrim Ghost) and Leo (Tgod Bro) for helping with the guide. Some credits go to Emps-Wiki, as I got some information from there.

Thanks for viewing :)

Resolved Bug Reports / Private Messages? :o
« on: January 07, 2015, 12:38:46 pm »
When I send or receive private messages, they aren't viewable. First I thought everyone was ignoring me all day, so I asked a few people in game if they could see my private messages and if they could send me some. They both weren't viewable. I still wasn't too sure, so I logged into my pure account on another client, and the same thing happened.
