THIS IS DUMBEST QUITTING REASON I HAVE EVER HEARD
Quitting because I didn't like how staff works on the the server is pretty solid reason for me
You could help fix that by doing it better yourself.

Lead by example so that they can learn and improve, just complaining doesn't solve anything.

    What a horrible read, feels like reading Charr's Nex guide. You should try to split it into paragraphs and space it out a bit. Right now it's just one long and boring ramble. One thing you could do is try to list the important points briefly and then expand on those points in longer paragraphs.

    Seems to be more beginner friendly than grinder friendly, training it next to other skills from starting an account would probably make more sense than trying to rush it from 0 to max as the last skill.

    Would be more interesting to hear feedback from people who trained it on new accounts. The fact that there's 5 people with it at 99 already, including 1 ironman, IMO shows that it's not too difficult to train for older accounts.

    When you get a generation that started playing this game at a certain age, and they grow up and find new interest and hobbies. That's when you get a real problem. Most of the players that came to World, used to play in Scape. One thing is recruiting new players. Another thing is to maintain the playerbase and keep them saticfied so they will keep on playing.

    For me, it appears like the reason the playerbase is shrinking day by day is because the players that have always been here, quit playing without Emps being able to recruit new players. Is there a market to recruit new players? Can emps-world compare to games kids start playing now?

    When i started playing Emps back in 2008, there were 3 big games that kids on my age played.

    1. Runescape
    2. Habbo Hotel
    3. Counter-Strike

    These were the 3 games that people i interacted with irl at school, sports and etcetera was interested in.

    Runescape took big actions to maintain the playerbase they have by releasing EOC and probably some other stupid stuff.
    Habbo in the Nordic countries was all cut out, but they kept their UK server.
    CS got a huge boost in releasing the competetive scene in CS;GO.

    What innovative have Emps-World done? What can one man innovate a private server to be? How on earth, will Thomy get a random 8 year old kid to start play Emps-World over Fortnite? Runescape was big when i grew up, and thats why the transaction to Emps was fun and easy.

    But if i go to ask a younger kid today about what games he likes to play. He will most likely say Fortnite. If i ask him what Runescape is, he wont know.

    All credit to Thomy, for what he have done and accomplished over the years. All the knowledge he have learned by programming this game will be a good asset for his future jobs, and i am sure he will do well anywhere he decide to go. I just dont see any hope to grow this server with the current video-game market available for the new generation.

    Either he needs to hire some innovative executives from Netflix or Apple and get a bigger development team and reinvent runescape private servers. Or just lay it dead, and realise that now its's time to put Emps to rest. Cash out while you can.

    TL;DR: We need Emps battle royale?

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Law_rune

    Just putting one page as example.

    Sorting column by rarity, shows "Rare" rates above "Uncommon" rates which is incorrect, I believe.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Runecrafting

    Multiplying runes are now updated, for example, at max level it is possible to make 4 soul runes without any enchantments per essence. In-game, runecrafting skill shows that, Wiki should show it too, in this case.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Pest_control

    - Decorative armor/weapons should be removed;
    - Elite Void Parts are not same as void robes as stated in the rows of each parts, much less requires 65 Defence and is more powerful. Should be noted in front page of rewards;
    - Chalkos Bar/Demon Necklace should be added to reward list;
    - Strategies should be added as useful tip for new players;

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Castle_wars

    - Magic papers should be added to reward list;
    - "You will also recieve a ticket for every flag your team captured during the game." - Not quite fully right. For every flag capture, player who captures them - receives extra 4 tickets, considering he is not using double exp scrolls or double ticket event is not enabled.
    - "The round is over when 10 minutes have passed" - False. Round lasts 15 minutes now, winning speculations hasn't changed - either kill Boss faster or Team got to capture 10 flags before timer runs out.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Brimhaven_agility_arena
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Brimhaven_Agility_Ticket_Exchange

    ^ Those two pages could be combined into one to make it more convenient and less shortcuts to deal with.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Minigames

    God Wars Dungeon is no minigame, it is suppose to be removed.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Staff_of_light

    Low-value alchemy price is 252,759gp ea and High-value alchemy price is 297,363gp ea. Also, fix picture on the right of whole page as well as "You have a Elemental staff (fire)." from examine information. As, it states "You have a Staff of Light".

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Range

    Zaryte Bow shoots without arrows as well as picture doesn't seem to represent Zaryte Bow at all. Noting enchanted bolts to all this would also make page beneficial.

    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Smithing
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Rune_bar
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Adamant_bar
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Mithril_bar
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Steel_bar
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Iron_bar
    https://emps-world.net/wiki/Bronze_bar

    ^ All these. Needs some adjustment, according to June latest Update Patch.
    All of em fixed, thanks.
    Update to sorting will go live sometime after next update, because I'd need to update every item page that has that table and I'm not going to update 715 pages just to change the sort function from alphabetical sort to numerical one. Once I do update it however, then I'll also change sorting by combat level and quantity to be based on whole numbers as opposed to being compared digit by digit. Because currently it's ordered 47 < 516 < 66, because 4 < 5 < 6, after update it'll compare whole numbers and put 516 at the end.

    For now I've only updated law rune page, feel free to let me know about any other changes I could make to item tables, so that I could make all of the changes at once without having to update every page multiple times for every change.

    Still no, Charr.

    Although I would say that when the subject has been discussed in the past, Thomy has said that he doesn't think that there's a problem with an oversupply of items in the economy.
    If you want to help with this then you should try to make the case for why it's a problem.

    The reason I'd still be against this specific way of solving the issue, is because people would only donate junk to it. Having a huge supply of junk items in the economy doesn't hurt anyone, so reducing the supply of those junk items wouldn't help anyone either.
    What we need is to reduce the supply of items that people are actually interested in, so that there would be a reason to put effort into trying to get those items. Charr's solution to that was to have a whitelist of which items can be donated, which at best would lead into a staff controlled economy and that's not desirable either.

    Personally I'm not a fan of any kind of special ways of training your account, but you could try something "unique" when it comes to leveling yours.
    For example you could make a non-iron account and train every skill equally. Meaning that you train all skills to 10, then reset your hitpoints back to 10 and from then on you never let your highest skill go more than 1 over your lowest skill, so you don't let any skill get to 12 before all of them are 11 and so on from then all the way to 99.
    Should be a fun challenge and also taking screenshots of all skills being the same at every level would look kind of cool.

    Also would mean that you avoid the regular way of just grinding one skill for hours in a row, as you'd have to force yourself to go from one skill to another, going through all skills before you can get back to any of them, while being careful not to get more than 1 level in any skill at a time.

    The videos would also have much more variety, instead of just the regular style of "I did one thing for 1 billion hours and here are the results"

    Clicking it by mistake would be soooooooo annoying, plus why we need that? since all emps related links are accessible through commands.
    Could make it a ctrl+click or something like that to minimize accidental clicks.

    Not that I'm in favor of the idea, for the reasons stated here:
    Definitely a no from me. Using tinyurl and leading people to shady webpages would become a thing and that's not what we need right now.

    If you need to share something then post it on forum or discord and let people know where they can find it.

    As for the solutions, Thomy has shown zero interest in majority players opinion lately, not a single reply in this topic or any other that can be discussed as "a thing"... He listens perhaps just to name few, like Drugs, Jp, Martin, that Tulrak dude and some times Cahit, Earl, maybe some more I don't know even.

    I noticed something similar like 2 years ago, when Charr and Saoledpede1 were the ones who got things done, even some really stupid things that were reverted afterwards. My solution was to simply turn to Charr instead of trying to appeal to Thomy, because Charr was full of bad ideas and so I tried my best to a be a filter for those ideas. I spent a lot of time arguing with Charr and proving to him that he's wrong, before he had a chance to spread many of those ideas.

    I'd suggest that you do the same, try to become a part of his inner circle or try to appeal to people who are already in his inner circle. I don't think that's true for most people on that list, it's unlikely that it's true for Drugs, Cahit or Earl and it's certainly not true for me. But you might notice that the people who Thomy has listened to tend to have been high-ranking staff members, so climbing the staff ladder to get more access to him might be the way to go.

    One problem with Thomy is that he's not trying to look at things from a player's perspective, which I found out when I was discussing the economy and got a reply from Thomy where he justified his belief that the economy is doing well by looking at the grand exchange market watcher and saying that the prices seem stable. From that I suspect that the reason revenants were changed was not because of the people who complained about it, but because it had an effect on the whole market.

    Also why am I "that Tulrak dude"?

    About the location of the Doomsayer, we've considered other places but we've mainly chosen to place it near the Grand Exchange because doomsayers want to be heared, and to be heared they'll have to be in crowded areas.
    Players aren't the only people in Emps, at some times during the day there's more npcs in the varrock pub than there are players in GE. So it would make more sense for doomsayers to either be on the other side of the street from the pub or at varrock square, close to the shops, where people walking past would hear them. They would want to target the average person visiting shops and the pub more than the professionals working around GE.

    This non-immersive lore won't do. Players want to feel like they're a part of the game world with NPCs living in it and not just that there's players in a game and that's all that NPCs care about.
