Suggestions & Ideas / Re: What is going on...

In my opinion we should help moderators and admins on helping new players,or then just simply promote more ppl to mods.
We cant really affect on getting more players, but we sure as hell can affect on keeping our new players.
ive done alot mining and smithing lately at barabrian village and ive noticed that theres alot new players that are absolutely fucking lost out there and they dont even know how to use clan chat or wiki so they could get help.
id imagine thats a big reason on new players to quit the game when they cant get help.
I actually agree, staff members should definitely be more active around the spawn-point where players have their first experience with the server. Obviously regular players should too, but Barbarian village just looks un-appealing spot to camp at.

I think we have had this home-city discussion before so I'm not going to go into it, but yeah staff members around the area where new players spawn should be a no-brainer.
It would for sure be a + for new players to spawn in a location with staff members, and some players that aren't new themselves.

I just love newbies and love to play around with them, at the moment, I'am making myself maxed, it will take me like 2 days more, after what I'll be paying attention on spending time with not just newbies, but with old players too.
P.S. I hope to meet more non-toxic newbies :D

Suggestions & Ideas / Smith X
« on: December 13, 2017, 04:34:44 pm »
Why is there no Smith X amount of an item? Now that the Smith 1, 5 and 10 buttons are correctly working? Would make smithing certain items a little bit easier.

Suggestions & Ideas / Peak Inside Har'lakk Cave
« on: December 06, 2017, 08:11:49 pm »
Since you are unable to leave the Har'lakk cave without a teleport, would be nice to be able to look in and see how many players are currently in there before you actually step foot into the boss room.

I would guess the money goes into upkeeping of the server and ads.

It's normal for player count to go down between updates on free to play games. I do not have access to the player graph of Emps, but I can show the same happening on another f2p game I play, Warframe. Here's the graph for 2016:

The biggest peaks Emps has had have been around 120-150 after updates. Then they tend to slowly decrease to 70'ish and whenever a new update comes, the peaks increase again.

ِAfter every update / something new gets added to the game, some players start playing again.
as we are expecting a new boss soon, that mean we might hit 100+ again

I guess keeping the server up isn't much of a problem as the game would be long shut down if emps didn't pay for itself.
The problem is increasing our playerbase which is more difficult. The more money Thomy gets from donations the more he could advertise the game tho which might and might not bring us some new players.
My understanding is that the playerbase has dropped like a motherfucker recently :/ is that correct?
The player count has always had its highs and lows, depending on the season/holidays and whatnot. Recently we had ~100 players online daily which was nice, right now it seems to be around 60ish again. Nothing too dramatical but we haven't and most likely never will reach our former glory again.
