Why were the last 4 pictures black and white?

They're all taken with a monochrome camera, and through a filter which only lets through one specific colour of light (which is actually in the near infrared).

got a new lens (canon fd 200mm f/2.8 ) which is VERY good for widefield
here is a 2 panel mosiac of cygnus region in hydrogen alpha wavelength using it

spent more time in post processing on this than actually acquiring data 

this one was actually taken with a 135mm camera lens (although with tiny sensor so effectively like 400mm or so focal length)

btw how much did the telescope u use cost?

the imaging telescope (AT65EDQ) on its own was £450 (got it 2nd hand, new is ~£700)
whole setup all together is probably getting close to £3k now :/
