Resolved Bug Reports / DFS Spec hits twice (on dragons i believe)

Not exactly sure if this is a bug or not, but this happens frequently. Sometimes I'll have 2 DFS attacks per spec and other times I'll only have 1. But it only changes when I relog, so for example I'll be at Mithril dragons and use the DFS Spec and have 2 magic attacks. I'll relog and then I only have 1 magic attack per spec, so on. Not sure how else to explain this.

I've noticed that the only monster to drop Onyx bolt tips is Kalphite Queen, and because the bolts are basically non-existent in game atm I think it Would be worthwhile to add "Onyx Bolts" drop to monsters such as KBD and Chronozon and Chaos Elemental. Onyx bolts are currently the strongest bolts in game and are hardly used. The bosses that I've listed don't have any "really" expensive drops and if anything they're drops are slightly average. So it would be good to boost the drops to bring in a more steady revenue flow for Pvmers killing these bosses ( Especially lower level Pvmers ) and it would also boost the amount of Onyx bolts in game thus adding more variety for to our current use of bolts.

Thoughts ? :) 


Also on a side note: Can you please... change the 5 x raw sharks at Spectrals to maybe 2 cooked sharks? at the moment the raw sharks is the most pointless drop I've ever seen.

So whilst I was adventuring through the foreign wilderness of the mighty Gielinor Empire with our fellow Emps brothers. We came across an abandoned hole. :O



A hole, which I believe must be filled... and who better to fill it than with Corp. :D




The location is located South-West of Camelot, it's big enough for Corp and it's an awsome little spot :)

Thought I'd start rebuilding, the D arrows are slightly off and I haven't added the Mith bars cause it's mixed up with the ones I already had. But I'd say not a bad 2 hours spent. :D

Level: 112 ( Can be changed doesn't necessarily have to be this. )
Aggressive: No
Difficulty: Hard
Attack Style: Magic when attacking from a distance, and all three combat style when within melee distance.
Vulnerability: Fire Spells ( I thought currently mage isn't used much whilst Pvming so this could be an opportunity to make mage more useful. )

Location

Ok I couldn't come up with an appropriate location because I was thinking of putting them where the Ice Warriors currently are but thought it'd be a bad idea. So I don't know if it's possible but we could add a Glacor cave, hows it's down in RS. The entrance to the cave would be North-East of Relleka, just because I saw a cave entrance there and thought it'd be appropriate to fit in with the ice theme.



The cave entrance would lead into a cave as illustrated below.



The cave would consist of around 8 Glacors.



Combat Style

Basically The Glacor's would behave similarly too our current Mithril Dragons. In the sense that they would be a high level Pvm monster and the drop rates of Glacyte boots would be similar to that of Zamorakian Spears.

They would attack with magic attacks at a distance and when within melee distance they are able to use all three combat styles. The combat style is always random per different kill. So for example, I come into kill a Glacor it attacks me with Magic, then once I'm within melee distance from it. It will choose 1/3 different combat styles and use that against me for the duration of the kill. Unless however it chooses to use its special attack after which it is able to change combat styles again.

When they reach 50% health, they will summon 3 little minions once. Similar to those summoned by Arzinian avatars. During this time the Glacor is invulnerable to damage and thus require you to slay the minions before proceeding to kill the Glacor.

Glacors would be vulnerable to fire spells thus making it worthwhile to use magic here, however other combat styles can still be used here, they just won't be as effective.
 
These different style attacks can easily be predicted as ranged attacks consist of an icicle, whilst magic attacks consist of a blue sphere. Ranged attacks are made with their right arms, whilst Magic attacks are done with the left arm.


NOTE: I haven't included the same system the minions work as they do in RS. I've done the minions similar to how they've been done on the Arzinian avatars, however the actual way they work is a little more complicated. If you'd like me to include the system they're done by in RS, just ask me.

The reason I thought this would be a good idea, is firstly its adds more high level monsters for Pvmers such as myself to enjoy. Secondly, I know that a lot of people have wanted some new boots in game and I feel Glacyte boots would fit appropriately into the game. Thirdly, Mage isn't used much at the moment when Pvming and it adds a bit of variety rather than always using Melee, as Mage would be the most useful combat style here.

I'm quitting for the meantime.


Holidays are becoming a bit too busy, and I've got too much things to manage at the moment. Starting work tomorrow which will take up a lot of my time and will also be beginning to start development of my own business :D

It's been an enjoyable time, and thanks to all the memories I'll cherish, especially to Loosenator (Sean) for being my dynamic duo PVM partner, we've shared some pretty crack up times. ;)

Corporal Beast




Level: 785 ( Doesn't really matter tbh )

Slayer requirement: NO
Membership: NO
Poisonous: NO
Aggressive: NO ( So that people training slayer in the slayer dungeon won't get randomly killed )
Attack Style: Melee + Mage
Dark Dagger: Required.


Location:  

Varrock Slayer dungeon.

Just need to get rid of the Hobgoblins there and you've got a perfect area to put him in. I don't know about the spike things in the ground, but surely a boss as big as him could walk over them ? :P





Basic combat mechanics of Corporal Beast:

I saw someone else suggest using a Dark dagger to kill some boss , so I'm stealing your idea :) but anyway basically the Corp would use 2 attack styles melee and mage, relatively simple. When first attacking him, he will have like a shadow defensive shield around him which players cannot attack through unless they use a Dark Dagger (Obtained from Smoke Demon) During this shadow shield he is also able to heal.

Corporals Beast special ( The shadow shield thing ) would have a percentage that it may be activated. The percentage would be proportional to Corps health. So as his HP decreases, the percentage chance that he can activate the shield would increase. The percentage could be based on a number out of every certain number of hits. So for example at 100% HP he would have 1/100 chance out of every player hit to him that he would activate the shield. Figuratively speaking, that's only an example, can be much different to that.

All weapons apart from Zamorakian spear would have decreased strength against the Corp, so it is highly advised to use a Zamorakian Spear.

Walking under Corp can also deal massive amounts of damage.

The boss would be un-solable. His magic attack is able to hit everyone killing him and the damage is spread out between players. So the more people you have killing him the less damage dealt to you.

So this boss would be for experienced players. It would be un-solable, so that people have to work in teams to kill the boss which in all honestly is a lot more fun than doing it by yourself.

This is the "Really" rough Idea I sorta pictured for it. Btw I kinda added the drops just for the hell of it, there kinda just there so don't mind too much what I wrote down in them.

I came up with some of this stuff on the spot, but do you guys think it would be a good idea adding Corporal Beast to the game or nah?

Few things I would like to suggest.


-  Add the CRTL button for replying to the last person who messages you.

-  Drops on Frost dragons seem a bit bland to me, add a cute frost dragon pet. :)

- Add more monsters that drop Toadflax, or in greater amounts because there is a huge deficit of sara brews in game at the moment. Not saying there needs to be "A LOT" more, but just a bit more so more people can do Jad, Kree etc.

-  At the moment castle wars is just not anywhere near as fun as it used to be and just doesn't feel right so I suggest getting rid of the flag system and bringing back the old system where there was 2 bosses instead on either team. Since we cant use commander zylina and Kril , we could potentially use the bosses they use on runescape for soulwars? It just seems like it would make castle wars a bit more lively. 

-  I don't know if it's possible but we really do need a G.E, for players like me. The timezone I live in means that my average day consists of roughly 20 to 40 players on between around 11am to 11pm. If for example I don't have resources or items that I need, it is usually impractical for me to buy anything. This especially becomes a problem because if I hop on and I wanna pvm and have no resources I can't buy anything and means I can either go and make some myself which takes quite a bit of time or I normally have to wait the whole day till more players are online and I can buy some stuff.

Hey,


From what I can tell there is too many items in game, not enough cash.

So what I suggest is that Thomy or whoever for a certain period of time, buy back certain items at their current equivalent cash price.
This would increase the amount of cash in game, reduce the amount of items and overall balance things out a bit.

Thoughts?    ???

Hey,

If anybody would know would greatly if you could tell me if this is doable. I'm thinking of getting a website theme off Theme forest which includes the Java-Script, CSS and HTML5 files. Just wondering is it possible to integrate this into a ruby on rails project which I can then edit and basically do whatever I need to it?    ???
