You can beat t78 magic gear with t70 range gear. That's how the combat triangle is supposed to work. Also, the bonus differences between ahrims and zuriel aren't gigantic although the price difference may be.

Hey guys,

I'm glad to finally announce the initial release of the Grand Exchange! It's been tested thoroughly in our test world 3 during the past few weeks. Please bear in mind that this is the first release and there may still be bugs (although it's unlikely). I still recommend not to sell your most expensive items in the next week through the GE system. The next update of the Grand Exchange will contain price margins, but we need some trading data to measure these! :)

Additionally, following things were changed:
  • Pestle and Mortar is no longer deleted when using it.
  • Mining received a new skill interface including ores and level requirements with item images.
  • Clipping calculations for projectiles on larger monsters updated (larger than human size). Finding safespots should be more intuitive now.
  • Hastas up to rune can now be poisoned.
  • Poison effect now occurs more frequently. (Moved from 25% to 33%)
  • Username validation checks added for account registration and donating.

EDIT bugfixes:
  • Poisoned hastas now have bonuses.
  • Poison is no longer applied by all melee weapons.
  • GE duping bugfixes.

Basic layout for a referral system finished. Upon registrations new users WILL (not yet released!!) be able to enter a referral. The referral will receive various rewards depending on how many new users register because of them. I would like this system to be bullet proof. If you were to cheat on the referral system, how would you do it? ;)

Hey guys,

Today's list of changes:
  • Ice strykewyrms no longer bug when you freeze them with an ice barrage.
  • We now have a login screen at the game client that fits the homepage style.
  • The client no longer clicks a random spot when logging in.
  • A bug with hunting butterflies was fixed that let you ignore their level requirement.
  • Chat effects scroll: and slide: are now working.
  • Private messages now appear above debuff/buff timers.
  • Spectral and Divine spirit shield requirements fixed.
  • Herblore requirements interface updated. (The skill has completely been re-coded, but that's the only visible change; internal structure was improved)

    I'm sure that the new herblore interface brings more clarification on potion making and herb cleaning.
  • New shoutbox command :item4151: displays an item image in the shoutbox. We also have some shortcuts: :whip: and :chicken: for now.
  • A bug was fixed which caused the game to lag upon logouts of certain accounts.

EDIT: I'm still working on the GE. You can log into world 3 and test it there meanwhile. :)

If you get the following message: "connection lost - attempting to reestablish" you're basically having an unstable internet connection. If the client loses the connection to the server (even for a split second), it has to reconnect.

I can analyze your connection to the emps server in more detail. Though, for that, I need an MTR. There's a guide on how to make on here: https://emps-world.net/forum/index.php?topic=2321.0

Please make sure that the WinMTR program runs for at least 5 minutes before you copy-paste the output.

On-topic:
We can in theory move the Rune hasta to level 50, the adamant one to 40, etc... Question is, if that's really making much sense though? We'd just reduce the level requirement for every hasta by 10 (except for the dragon hasta of course) and end up with hastas ranging from level 1 to 50 instead of what it is now, ranging from level 10 to 60. I understand the point that rune weapons are level 40, but hastas would be dead content if I followed that system.
Hastae are already quite dead content if you're talking anything below dragon. The only hastae that see some use are addy, for training 50 att pures. Dscims are far easier to obtain than rune hastae. In my entire slayer career i've obtained ~120 dscims and no rune hastae. I've killed enough npcs that drop it. The dscim is superior to the hasta due to it's special attack, it can turn off prayer which does have it's place in PvP.

I have a bloody good idea to change it though. Any hasta below dragon should be able to be poisoned. Level requirements should stay the same. I think hastae would see more use in PvP (at least rune and maybe addy) if they were poisonable. And maybe make the hastae a bit easier to obtain, especially rune.

That sounds interesting, I'll see what I can do.  ::)

Hey guys,

Today I've changed the following:
  • Untradeable items are no longer lost when dieing in a pvp fight. Due to the recent changes for defenders, fighter torso and void knight armours, this update is no longer needed. That also means, that you will no longer lose your salve amulets! You can now run back and pick them up within 4 minutes inside the wilderness.
  • Hunting traps that fail to catch creatures now give you the trap item back.
  • You can no longer shoot 2 arrows when only having 1 equipped. (darkbow and comp ogre)
  • More bugged GE spots fixed.
  • Grand Exchange clerks have been placed and are configured. The GE is NOT YET fully released, we're still testing it. This update is only finalizing the procedure.
  • Grand Exchange search code updated. You should no longer find doubles of any items.
  • Duel-Arena teleport now places you directly at the Duel-Arena and no longer 30 steps west of it.

We changed it that if you lose it during a fight with a player, it's gone.
EDIT: I'm sorry for your loss, but I'll change the mechanic again with the next update.

Hey guys,

First of all big thanks for posting so many bugs reports in our bug reports section, I was able to fix a lot of them!

Besides the bug fixes for today, I've updated the classic client. I've increased its performance and look by a lot. Flickering is now history and the overall fps rate was improved. On top of that, the client's map loading procedure was reworked. That was done, because it was causing troubles for new players. Overall loading the map and game data should be faster now.

List of changes (some of these fixes require a client restart!):
  • Afk kicker changed from 5 minutes to 10.
  • GE fountain can no longer be removed with fires.
  • Under attack timers have been increased and under attack message for players updated.
  • Karamja Agility course skull re-added.
  • More bugged spots at the GE were fixed.
  • Barbarians have received back their faces.
  • EDIT: Improved following system for PvP. Let me know if that one's better and if there are still situations where it still fails.
  • EDIT2: Following system fixed.
  • EDIT2: Rest in Pieces quest fixed.
  • EDIT2: Client's fog setting fixed (restart required).
  • EDIT2: Salve amulet now works on barrow brothers.
