Next time you launch the game, make sure that on the launcher settings you have Hardware renderer enabled. Launcher settings can be accesses clicking the options button in the right bottom corner before clicking the 'Play' button. You can also increase the amount of max RAM there allocated for the client if you want to, but that shouldn't be necessary.



Next when you login or when you're on the login screen, go to the in-game settings and make sure you have these selected:


 
Those settings should give you the best performance no matter the system. If you game is still running slow, it's most likely because your PC is simply way too old. The game should look somewhat like this:



If your problem can't be fixed though; it doesn't really make sense to continue developing for computers that are obsolete.

If the majority of the audience has shit PCs to begin with, it's not really worth developing for an audience with great PCs if such audience doesn't even exist. You would be surprised how shit PCs people playing OSRS have.

Skills/experience
  • Construction released.
  • Runecrafting experience and new runes (mist, lava, dust, steam, smoke and mud).
  • Farming plant experience, guam level requirement and added limpwurt.
  • Farming to include construction plants.
  • Cap on experience is now 250m (instead of 200m).
  • Smelting experience (astral runes) and smithing experience (cannon balls).
  • Cooking experience (low level fish, bread dough, cakes, pies, sweetcorn, etc).
  • Prayer experience (dagannoth and jogre bones, blessed spirit shield) and bones on altar (gilded altar with 2 burners as standard).
  • Fletching experience (barbed bolts).
  • Standard member bonus to experience (10%).
  • Firemaking experience (mahogany).
  • Fishing experience (raw salmon and mounted heads).
  • Slayer experience (mounted heads).
  • Woodcutting experience (dead tree and evergreen).
  • Mining experience (limestone).
  • New boost combinations (mainly slayer, mining and smithing). These however may have problems.
  • Combat and Slayer experience changes including new monsters (e.g. abyssal watcher, ancient gladiator, barrow brothers, rogue, witch, bat, etc).
Other
  • Icon has been updated to be different from the Emps-World client.
  • Formatted numbers (1,000 instead of 1000).
  • Switched experience and level required around as it makes more sense.
  • Included a lot more error messages to make reporting bugs a little easier.
  • Attack tab and slayer tab search bars now support the enter key (quick search).
  • Issue with round function (level 1 to level 10 as an example requires 0 actions).
  • Another issue found with round function, instead using truncate function.
  • Hotkey to check if user is currently using the latest version with redirect (F5).
Notes
  • Skilling auras cannot be added due to the RNG factor.
  • A few more changes may have been made however I could not document them all.

I feel like reset is a last resort thing. Is our economy even that fucked up that a reset is necesary to fix it?

Some people fail to realize how economy works on these kind of games, there is going to be an overflow of something eventually whether it be a single item or multiple items, coins or anything. Something that people also don't take into count is that having 50m now for example is worth more than having 50m two years back. That 50m will get you a lot more items than it used to. Value of money and value of items have gone down equally pretty much.

A problem we had back in Scape was the amount of items in the market vs amount of coins that was in the market. People rarely offered coins when trading, they offered items instead because there was literally no gp in the game. This was fixed by increasing the high alch values and coin drops however.

Not quite sure how server reset gets us new players though, would just force existing players to play even more. If I don't play 3-4h a day now I'm not gonna play those hours after reset.

*sigh* Nevermind.

Soz for wanting content to play through. I'd still probably be playing on the ironman of mine if the dxp scrolls didnt get removed from the EP shop. I used to have a reason to log in. Now I have a reason to go to work so I can donate for the tickets :LUL: And those hours, along with the bunch of daily shit in RS, are away from emps. I liked the fresh start because playing on a main account nowadays is no different from ironman.

It's not a dick move, the reset should have been done when Emps-World launched. People had nothing to do since the game came back online, so of course there's nobody playing.

Repairs would mean less players playing emps wars to get a new one, idk if that's what Thomy would want. I wouldn't mind it though, not like I'll ever use the thing.

When people will end up using it as a cosmetic item, there wont be people getting new ones from CW either.

Also these kind of item upgrades open possibilities for items sinks that actually make sense. Chaotic weaponry in RS offer players a choice between fully repairing a weapon for either 2M coins or 20k dungeoneering tokens and 200k coins. We could do the same in emps. The upgrade costs 250 tickets, so a repair could be 25 tickets regardless of how many charges the weapons has left. Now the other option could be either cash, or it could be a Saradomin Sword to fully recharge the weapon. Staff of Darkness, Lava Whip and Strykebow in RS3 are fixed by using the base weapons on them.

Same kind of a system could be implemented on the Regen Bracelet, using cut onyxes for charges.
