Emps requires the least out of these. No payment or grinding required to get your hold on 100% of the content. The 2nd best choice would be runescape though (doesn't matter if osrs or rs3).
However since your time is limited I would recommend single player games. I don't know your personal preference, but I'll give you some from various genres: Witcher 3, Portal 1 & 2, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor etc.
If you specify, I could give more precise suggestions.
Where is Skyrim!?

Suggestions & Ideas / Potions
« on: April 10, 2016, 02:51:55 pm »
Mining potion

Could be of huge help when mining shooting star if you're a few levels too low, I don't doubt some people would like to have these. It may also be a nice alternative to people that can't afford a dragon pickaxe.

The recipe would be kwuarm + 10 stardust. Requirement: 60 herblore.

Weapon poison

It's always been a bit weird to me that these were in a shop with a very low stock. The only thing I commonly see poisoned are morrigan's javelins and dragon daggers. I think if people were able to make weapon poison themselves they might try to use it more.

The recipe would be irit + dragon scale dust for weapon poison, adding a snapdragon to that results in weapon poison+. Requirements: 45 herblore, 66 herblore.

Additionally, a cleaning cloth should be added to the general store which can be used to clean poison off things.

Super antifire potion

Basically just antifire potions with an extended time. I'd really enjoy if my antifires lasted the same time as my super potions and this would do just that. It would not provide any additional protection from dragonfire.

The recipe would be antifire potion + a dwarf weed. Requirement: 89 herblore.

Grand exchange

This may be overcomplicated to do but it's an idea. Could potions be sold per dose on the GE? What I mean with that is that potions put in the GE will sell in any kind of dose. For example player A puts 4 prayer potions (3) in the GE and player B buys 3 prayer potions (4) and actually gets them from player A.

Opinions?

Suggestions & Ideas / Shortcut, South of Spectrals
« on: April 10, 2016, 10:36:57 am »
Hey guys,
My suggestion would be making it 80 agility shortcut or so, since there is no higher obstacles than 65 agility, making less people attend to train agility. :)
Guessing would effect both Pkers and PvMers, to train agility more. :)

Help me! / Re: Can't open the client
« on: April 09, 2016, 12:04:22 pm »
webclient: try a different browser, lots of browsers dropped support for java applets. Recommended is firefox or microsoft edge. You might have to download an additional java web plugin for either of these browsers for this to work.

onto your client issue: it seems like your pc is not using java to execute your file. Are you using the .exe file? (see screenshot) Generally your computer will ask you if youd like to execute this file as a warning, does this warning come up?

If so and it disappears after that, it is most certainly a java issue. Uninstall java and reinstall it, then check if it finds your java installed on your pc (http://java.com/nl/download/installed8.jsp). Recommended is to also manually delete the folder .emps_world (found in your c:/user)

If not then theres an issue with executing exe files which is very strange since these are literally executable files and none of your programs would be working.

Does not work can you help me trough team viewer or something ?
send me a pm with ur skype or smthing

OFFTOPIC: Mary sometimes it looks like you're trying to type arab, typing only consonants lol.
i usually type 'smthin' like that, just got used to it i guess

Events / The Last Man Standing Event
« on: April 09, 2016, 10:26:02 am »
Welcome!

I'm extremely happy to introduce a new event to Emps-World.
FightPits!
It will take place for the first time in Emps-World and that is why I'm
looking forward to seeing as many of you participating in the event.

In this event, everyone will be fighting against each other.
There are no special requirements for armour or weapons,
pick the ones you like the most (you must keep in mind that you will need to use
that equipment for each and every round).
The last man standing will earn some EP(event points).

The event will be hosted on Thursday (April 14th) at 3:00PM UTC

Countdown To The Last Man Standing!

There will be 9 rounds, 3 for each combat style.
  • 3 rounds of melee.
  • 3 rounds of magic.
  • 3 rounds of ranged.

Rules.
  • The event will be monitored by the staff team.
  • Hiding is highly prohibited.
  • You can only use one combat style determined by the round.
(For example: It's forbidden to use magic or ranged the first 3 rounds).
If it's melee only round you can only use melee armour and weapons, same with the other rounds.
Offending this rule in any way will lead to an instant kick and you won't be able to partake in the next rounds.

Champions:

Melee Gear:
  • Ilumon
  • Tsinneri
  • Ilumon

Magic Gear:
  • Try Again Fo
  • Tsinneri
  • Try Again Fo

Range Gear:
  • magepuremb
  • magepuremb
  • blade fiery

Thanks for everyone who participated!

Best wishes,
Rami.

Guides / Re: [PvM] Tips on gears, consumables and other
« on: April 09, 2016, 08:46:03 am »
I would personally prefer to see Consumables and prayers in one topic and 2-3 separate Equipment/Pvming guides.
For example: Beginner's guide to PvMing, which would help with the gear (what and when to use) and also whom to kill to level up and get better gear.
Same for intermediate players and experienced players (high-level players).

When writing such guides bear in mind to keep those guides easy to follow (this guide is no way easy to follow, too many items) and you must expect that the reader doesn't know anything, don't leave out anything that you think should be common knowledge.

Guides / Re: Improve your in-game socialising/communicating

I love this guide, Beershake, 10/10 great guide mate. Even if it was copied, I still like your effort in doing it again so newbies in game and on forums have some manners and understand each other. It also helps people in real life, in some way. :) At least, for me it does. Thanks a lot, Buddy.
P.S. You Sir, deserve some rewards for your brilliance in making several past guides, they are amazing.

Guides / Re: [PvM] Tips on gears, consumables and other
« on: April 09, 2016, 02:46:22 am »
I have some points to be made as well.
  • Amulet of glory is better than amulet of power in every aspect.
  • Under low budget equipment it says that "although not all staves preserve runes, Master wand does not but it has a chance of 36% to preserve runes on cast." What you meant is that some staves have infinite amount of elemental runes (air, water, fire, earth) and some preserve runes. Examples: Mystic Lava Staff (fire+earth), Mystic mud staff (water+earth). Master wand certainly preserves runes, so fix that sentence.
  • Under low equipment bolts you should explain what emerald e, ruby e and diamond e bolts do.
  • Medium budget: 3rd melee has risen to 30m atm.
  • When talking about void you must mention that you have to wear gloves as well.
  • Since this part of the topic talks about budget, I would prefer abby whip over hasta (no reason to pay more for the same weapon)
  • Remove 3rd age amulet from 3rd mage gear (fury is better and the price is about the same)
  • As far as I know, Kebbit bolts are not working. Mary mentioned this in a topic a while back. Can't confirm if it's still true.
  • Staff of light preserves runes as well.
  • Non-tradable items: full slayer helm is missing.
  • Under potions you should explain how to actually use brews, so the stat nerfs won't affect you.
  • As Charr said, 3rd age gears are high budget, except 3rd mage gear.
  • You should talk about each weapons special attack as well, not just mention that they have one.

Overall, I do not approve including all this information in one big topic. You could have created separate topics in which you could have explained it all further without dragging it too long.
Since the topic is so large, don't expect noobs to read it. It just contains too much material. And for more experienced players it's already common knowledge.
