why would you make slayer items dissapear upon death...? Atleast allow players to run back and pick it back up dont see what purpose this serves

I believe the current situation with untradeable non-degreading items (slayer helm, void etc...) is this: If lost outside of wilderness -> can run back to pick them up. If lost in pvp situation they're turned to coins.

I lost in wilderness when killing revs slayer task. Was unskulled and protected 4 of my non-slayer gear and yeah the slayer items were turned into coins. Don't understand this really in any sense there is no beneficiary in this situation, the pker gets nothing from it pretty much and you lose all your slayer items, this is particularly important for poorer people as they really rely on those slayer items to do it as they might not be able to afford other items. Item protecting should really take slayer items as priority or otherwise let you pick it up.

PKer actually benefits from that as he/she'll get the coins instead of nothing.
There's a possible change coming to untradeables where you could buy your lost untradeable items back for a fee but that's just a concept and definitely not a guaranteed change, just an idea.
That would make the situation better for both parties. Person who lost the untradeables could just buy them back for a fee and the person who killed you gets a coin drop from untradeables you lost.

its really not we are talking about slayer items specifically and the reason for it being dropped, you completely missed the point nt tho

Upon death, let the player keep all of the untradable items in his/her inventory and make them broken.
increase the amount of coins pkers would gain upon killing the players with them and increase the price it would cost to fix the items because yes, there is almost no reward for pkers to kill players with these items, except if they want to do them ill and it takes too long to retrieve the untradables that you lose at the moment.
Win/win.

Slayer helm should not be a lifetime purchase, completely kills npcs that drop black mask, hexcrest, focus sight. It is a very good item, max hits are already good without it, if you want that extra dps and accuracy during tasks you better be ready to lose it when taken to wildy.
