Ok, so I understand how to runecraft (I'm not stupid ). But after you've created the runes how do you get out? Do you have to teleport to Barb? Because if so that feels like a waste of time and makes the skill really boring and a pain to train...
 

Yep, you have to teleport out. That's all there really is to it. Not much different from abyss-runecrafting in RS, it only takes a bit less time since you actually use the abyss to travel to the altars and you dont have to use talismans/tiara's here.

Hmm, seems like a real waste of time for a skill which isn't that good for anything (making money, general usefulness) unless you're a mage. Better take a look at a new skill.

Take laws and bloods, so you can teleport to abyss. If u ready to teleport out. Swich home teleport to draynor village and go bank. Repeat.

Yes, what i mean though is that other skills give you alot more money. Even selling rune ess seems like it makes you more money.

you can sell bloods 1k-2k ea , and you need only 26 rune ess to make 78 bloods runes. (with 99 runecrafting) (rune ess 1k-2k ea).

You could make a load of money with runecrafting if you get people to buy the runes you create. You'll need the skill at 99 to get a max cape as well. All in all, the skill is far from useless. Even as someone that uses melee most of the time, having piles of runes in your bank doesn't hurt for when you want to alch/teleport/use mage. Not every skill has a significant use, but you'll still need them to max out. If you don't wanna invest in ess to get it to 99 I recommend just doing it later, no need to rush.

If you're low level magic and cannot do the teleports, a good tip would be to gather a lot of Amulet of Glory's.
They give a teleport to Edgeville so you can just craft the runes, TP to Edgeville, bank and repeat.
Every 4 trips you'll have to swap the amulet out for a charged one, but it's not too bad.

At lvl 99 you recieve 4x death runes for each single essence meaning you make 130k each trip. I believe thats a good reason to do it
