Why do certain people get promoted and why do they keep their ranks? We have a total of 7 mods - I only see Charr online (Big Chris also). Why are the rest of them still mods? What's the use of an inactive moderator? Also Ekke is supposed to be a "game administrator". When was the last time you saw him online?
I think that the people in charge of promotions/demotions should be changed or they should reconsider their methods.

Charr is the most active mod in game indeed. I think that Jodi is doing a good job too. I dont know about others (Dont even know half of them._.)

Well he resigned from the staff team so I don't think he is trying to get it back ,
anyway even tho this topic will be closed soon as it's not our job to discuss these kind of things , if you have anything against any mod / admin you can report him then martin will deal with it.
keep in mind that they're also humans , they can't be online 24/7.

OT: since majority of the mods are unnoticed then why not discuss it openly.

I have no problem with how staff handles the helpdesk, it's probably hard work and smooth as fuck. Good job there.
But moderators with less duties than admins and high admins could easily show more activity ingame like hosting events.

Staff have other accounts too, and some staff don't enjoy playing the game itself anymore, since they've done that for such a long time.
Ingame activity isn't the only thing staff members need.

You dont even need to have 10 mods online at all times. At most times when i am online and there is barely any staff members on, the player count is accordingly.
When the player count raise, the staff members online raise. You know they got pures, ironmans and other accounts just like you and anyone else. For Ekke, its not his job to go around and babysit the game. You all need to take a chill pill and stop thinking about the staff members, you are not supposed to know everything they do :P It's like microsoft getting developed. You got microsoft? It works fine? But still, you have no clue who made it and what kind off effort they had to offer in the process. Don't judge what you dont know.
Personally, i have changed my opinion on everything related to this game just because i was blind folded.
There is a reason why we have helpdesk, use it.
If players in this game was loyal, active and easy to trust, there would have been no problem promoting more.
But it's the fact that it's the internet, you never know who is what. I will put in a old saying.

Dude, I play around the clock depending on which shift I have in work. Vaughn and Big Chris are the only non-European staff I ever see online, even when I'm playing in nighttime.

For the inactive moderators, can't really blame them, it's supposed to be Ekke and Vaughn's duty to discuss these promotions and be more active ingame rather than just find some active player on forums that seems all fluffy with high post count and promote him.
I do see Vaughn online ingame sometimes, but not much, because of his timezone most likely. But Ekke, I rarely see him ingame and I find it highly disappointing.
And I also agree with some replies here saying that Esam is a bad example / role model for being a moderator.

1) Timezones. All mods live across the world and cannot be online 24/7.
2) Mods have a life too. We all go to school, uni, work. Again, it is not our job to be online 24/7.
3) Even though some of us may not be in-game we are still highly active within the forums, helpdesk and other emps related work offline that tbh you don't need to worry your pretty little heads about :kappa:
4) leave our jobs to us, if you have a problem with anyone of us please report it and vaughn/ekke/martin will get right on to addressing any problems with the staff.
5) we are always looking for mire staff members, as Martin has stated. Currently we have no found any suitable candidates. perhaps we just need players like yourselves to be patient, loyal, friendly and learn to roll with the punches rather than adding an unnecessary and unwanted level of toxicity to our communtiy.
