Mary did them manually back when she was a high admin by setting the levels on a new account and resetting the old account's stats after the player transferred the items they needed. This meant that all untradeables were lost. It was just a bunch of wasted effort for the little to no benefit it gave to they player whose name was changed.
Not really, Martin did my name change and I could trade him the untradeables because.. he has the power to? Anyways, I didn't lose any untradeables.

i didn't transfer untradables out of principle for 'regular' transferring/trading, since untradables are you know, untradable for a reason.
Name transferring was different, all the stuff was transferred from one account to another, but the old account was reset as much as possible.
