Hi,
I'm making this thread to give a quick guide on how to fix errors with using the game client. If you can't get your client to work, feel free to post here or ask the community for help!
- I can't see some models (players, monsters, items, etc.) in-game.
Restart your client and/or reinstall the game: Reinstall Emps-World (https://emps-world.net/uninstall).
- My client is stuck at loading the game.
Reinstall the game: Reinstall Emps-World (https://emps-world.net/uninstall).
- My client says "Error Connecting"
Download the latest client here (https://emps-world.net/play).
- Client is acting weird. All text is white.
Try out the 'Classic' mode, that should work fine!
- The client is not starting at all.
Please make sure you open Emps-World with java. If you cannot get it to work, try the web version here (http://emps-world.net/play).
- I get the following error:

That means that your java version is too old to run the client! Get the latest one here (http://www.java.com).
For linux users:sudo apt-get purge default-jre
sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jre

Thomy i have this thing that hit the new clint in safe mode game lags like every 2-3 sec it freezes fora sec ? Like what ?
And in original cliend i have to disable all for it not to lag.

Means you have a crappy pc, or didn't update your graphic card drivers/java

What manufacturer is your graphic card from? Do you maybe even know the nsme of your graphic card?

Yes , i tried Webclient it says ''Application Blocked '' or sometimes it says '' Your java out of date update now''

hi thomy (or someone else), now i have 1 problem. my previous problem was about graphics driver being outdated, so i did update it now as you said with catalyst control center. now running v8.593.100.0. what i never mention and maybe was important was my driver type: ATI radeon x300/x550/x1050, so basically 3 in 1 (searched some info on google). but now the real problem: it comes pretty much down to the same thing. every time i open a client, no matter which one at the openGL version, when it loads with the red beam (after the emps loader, and the actual program loads), it loads till like 2/5 and then it 'loads back' showing no progress, and freezes. at the classic version it always freezes at 16/3883 KB.
funny right, back loading?
i hope you could help me out, really have that urge to play ;)

it helped a bit, it loaded several files, but at the title 'downloading file' it stops at 6%.

There has been a few occasions were, for me, the loading screen is fine but the log-on screen goes all grey-coloured and buggy. When I click the Existing User button and type in my username and password, the text just appears as squares.
I will screenshot this when it happens again; just a heads up on something happening to me and possibly a few other players.

I helped 2 players today,
here is how i helped them : one player opened file with winrar, helped him find java by doing this : C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_30/bin/javac.exe. So basically you help them find where they installed java and let them choose the java.exe to open the client with java instead of winrar. (name of player : planets)
second problem : an anti-virus blocking self-written programs like emps-world. Turn off that option and you're good to go, allowed to download the programs in client. (name of player : 66destroyer1)

Winrar opens jar only because some think they are smart and do advanced install and check every option... Then don't think of it lol
Some uncommon antiviruses block emps, but soon there will be a certificate for emps that *should* allow it

first thing is not always. I had the same problem. Some programs think that emps-world needs to be opened with their program. For example : I had a thing of Nokia installed on my pc for my phone. When i downloaded emps-world client it just chose to open with that and not with java. So i had to go look into my files and find Java.exe. Anyhow glad i could help somebody.

Default is unchecked, always unchecked with any install not just winrar! Because .jar is an executable file so no program would ever overwrite that on default:

Run this http://emps-world.net/cleaner.php
and start the loader again, it will redownload. Don't interrupt the download.

i have the same message, but i trie many times with cleaner.... still wont help :(

Keep trying, that message often appears when your internet speed is slow and it won't find the update site.

i have tried everything to play this in my pc... it wont let me play it says:error:classnotfoundexceptionnet.emps.client.model.client... if you know about this type of error please let me know what to do.

It means that the client can't connect to the homepage to download updates. You can try downloading the latest loader here: http://emps-world.net/Emps-World.jar

Keep trying, that message often appears when your internet speed is slow and it won't find the update site.
Anyways, i've tried like 1000 times still gets stuck on downloading file 4% and then 10 sec and gives that client error again :( any other ways to do it?

My beta client was working perfectly fine before however, when I tried to open it again it kept opening different clients forcing me to shut down my laptop.
I have updated my Java, downloaded the newest version of the client and tried to use the cleaner. Java is blocking the cleaner from working for me, as shows.

i cant even get my java to download on my mates laptop any ideas?
It comes up with java could not complete and error 1603
then went to java help page and says key not valid or it already exists and that they are still working on it
unsure if the pictures are going to come up ahh

I experience something similar to josh, the web client its not functioning properly even after adding emps website to the exception list, using the latest java also and also after deleting the whole emps folder. The only way that I can play is by using the downloadable client, which works perfectly.

Go into your Java control panel and add http://www.emps-world.net to your exception list.
