Hello there ,
I have been thinking along time ago , What have dragged Emps-Scape to this case ? , What things have been changed ? What happened ? , Yet , I couldn't reach an answer , Maybe it's owner ? Or it's community ? or other private servers has surpassed it ?.
I have never seen emps climbing down the leader until these days!, Emps Scape Server had been one of the most successful servers ever and today it's very hard to see over than 200 players online.

emps-SCAPE had ~300 players online regularly and it got shut down. This is a second coming of emps-SCAPE named emps-WORLD and we just haven't reached our former glory yet and most likely never will. You can blame oldschool runescape for that. Right now seeing 150 players online is actually not too bad and absolutely playable so try it out and im sure you'll enjoy it for atleast some time.
EDIT: Btw, you can play a huge part for helping us to improve. While playing and noticing some problems or things that could help us improve then please take your time and post feedback, suggestions and/or bug reports in the correct sections.

Our owner is still the same, most of our playerbase comes from SCAPE times. That being said it comes down to few fairly obvious reasons. One of them being that oldschool runescape was released which stole majority of every(not only us) private servers player bases. There's really no reason to be nostalgic over our former ~600 player count, just enjoy what we have now and try to help us improve.

What is the point of playing football while you are alone ? , I am not here to assault or to blame you nor the owner , I am here just to discus a point that is very important at lest for me , also im not here to show you how nostalgic am I , Yesterday I counted 150 players and Today 100 .. I cannot imagine where my effort will go when I see less than 50 players ?.
Plenty of players here are donating to the server and spending their real money for variant goals such as improving the server or enjoying with some coustem items , So my question is , where these money will go when the server is down ?
Again and again , Im not showing of how nostalgic am... iam here just to try to find someway to protect and heal the server again together , It maybe just needs a shock of electric to back to life again , and this shock cannot be when everyone is playing alone , We have to be unified hand and unified community.

Private servers generall have all gone down hill. Private servers had their glory years. Emps is doing good compared to other servers.
During peak times we hit 140 players quite often and especially on sundays we have lots of players online.

Easy to say. There's no denying that the server's population has decreased dramatically, but there's nothing anyone can do about it. Not even Thomy. RSPS's are just out of date, as is emps. It sucks, yeah, but as I said there's nothing we can do.

I can assure to you that if the server is keep climbing down , it will reach to a case that missing players.. which will cause to stop the server.

If he has to start paying from his own pocket in order to keep the server up he will obviously shut it down. Can you really blame him for that?
But if you have any original ideas for us to gain new players then please take your time and post a suggestion about that. But i do suggest going through some old threads about that because as far as im concerned most things have been discussed already.

You're from Isreal. There's a lot of people online during your time zone.
Edit: Actually most of the players are online during your hours as large majorority of our players are from Europe and Middle East.

^Answers most of your questions
People can reach us via people that are already playing the game as well, this is actually where the majority of players came from back in scape. You do not have to advertize on other servers, that wouldn't get us players.

People who usually wouldn't go to the top lists did because of our system and found other servers to play where levelling might be easier or whatever they were interested in.
Voting lists are massively being cheated on. Moreover, not all server's player counts are really legit. We've been on these voting sites (with fair voting) and didn't get anywhere, that's why we stopped doing it. Why should we give these sites thousands of clicks without really anything in return? No thanks.
On-topic: We're running advertisements and get over 40 clicks on Emps-World every day. I would like to expand that with more banners for advertisements. The next question is, if these advertisements are really worth it. Do they really bring new players? I'm not sure of that question, that's why the budget for advertisements is limited for now. I would like to spend more on ads with new banners though. Besides, Emps-World has pretty much established a solid player count now. We know that over 200 players play simultaneously every day. That's nothing to be sad about, that's something to be happy about!

Answers to your question "why don't we have 600+ or so anymore" will always be the same> RSPS in general aren't that popular anymore, players of RSPS era have grown up and moved on with their lives, new generation plays other games instead, many of them haven't even heard about runescape itself, not to mention private servers.

If you have friends playing it with you, it doesn't matter whether there is 1000 or 100 other players who you never interact with. You'll have fun nevertheless. That's something that applies to every game.

I've been promoted by 3 or 4 staff managers during my time at Emps, both scape and world, what about you ?
what have you done to the game during your time here? apart from trying to use some complicated English words that can be replaced by simple words just to show how great your English skills is.
No we don't give a shit about how many online players are ing, same as Ott said above if you have ing friends you won't feel any difference playing.
Eventho the subject is so damn stupid, I won't ( or at least I'll try ) to not start another fights especially with under legal age kids ( it just doesn't seem fine at all )

Believe it or not, the Emps-World player count has been steadily increasing over the past few months. This is something which has been discussed between Thomy and the staff team numerous times.
Emps-World is far from dead, we still receive frequent donations and new players are joining all the time. The game is still full of life and is regularly updated. You do not need to have hundreds of players online for you to enjoy yourself, play the content you like to play and make friends while doing it.
The problem you have is that you expect Emps to go back to having the 600-1000 players online that we had back in Scape times. The era of private servers is over, with old-school Runescape coming out it attracted many of the players who played private servers.
As previously said, Emps-World is far from dead. We are still growing and gaining new players. In regards to adverts, we've tried it before and it had very little effect. They are expensive and Thomy has a limited budget, his main priority is obviously going to be keeping the server online. It's up to him what he see's fit to spend the Emps budget on.
We appreciate your concern and will to make the server more popular, however starting a topic and being aggressive isn't going to help.
Going to lock the topic before it turns it any more of a flame war.
