Duel tournament

Duelling is a favourite hobby of many Emps players, and it's time for me to announce an official Halloween Duelling tournament to celebrate Halloween!
This event will take place at: Friday 4 PM (GMT +0), World 2, at the Duel Arena ingame. It is expected to last about 1 to 2 hours, depending on the amount of participants.

Players can sign up in this topic, by simply replying with the username they will use for duelling.

At the day itself, the participation fee will be collected. The fee to join the tournament is 2M in coins. The entry fee of every participant will be collected and kept by Es_Dexter.
At the end of the tournament, all entry fees will be divided among the best three stakers! First place will get 65%, second place gets 25% and third place will get 10% of all collected entry payments.

Terms of duelling in the Halloween Duel Tournament:

* The fee of 2m must be paid to Es_Dexter on the day and time of the event.

* If a signed up participant does not show up or pay the entry fee, he/she will be disqualified. It is not possible to play your match later or earlier than the event takes place.
* This Duel tournament will consist solely out of whip-staking.
* No armour, other weapons, prayers, magic, range nor food or potions will be permitted.
* No movement is allowed.
* No obstacles allowed. All matches will take place in the first arena.
* If any participant fails to oblige to these terms, he/she will be disqualified.
* If any participant is disqualified, the opponent of the match the participant was planned for, will be declared the winner.

If there are not enough players to fulfill the first round matches (16 participants, can go up to 32 or more if needed), the players that have signed up first will automatically pass the first round. It is possible for these players to be matched up afterall, if more players decide to participate in-game rather than first sign up at forums here.
The player that wins all rounds, is the first place winner. The player that loses the last round, is the second place winner. The fourth and third place will be determined by another match between the losers of the half finals.

Outcome of matches will be determined by staff members present at the event. If a draw occurs, the match will be redone until a winner emerges.
