Duel tournament
Duelling is a favourite hobby of many Emps players, and it's time for me to announce the second annual official Halloween Duelling tournament to celebrate Halloween!
This event will take place at: Sunday, 30th October, 4 PM (GMT +0), World 2, at the Duel Arena ingame. It is expected to last about 2-3 hours, depending on the amount of participants.
Players can sign up in this topic, by simply replying with the username they will use for duelling. Ironman accounts and a multitude of accounts sharing the same UUID are not allowed. There is no entry fee.
Players can also sign up by contacting staff members online in the hours before the event.
Terms of duelling in the Halloween Duel Tournament:
- If a signed up participant does not show up, he/she will be disqualified. It is not possible to play your match later or earlier than the event takes place.
- This Duel tournament will consist solely out of whip-staking (only level 70 whips allowed, no elemental).
- You can use poisoned Dragon Dagger (dds) during stakes as well for a lucky poison damage. No special attacks allowed.
- Ironman accounts are excluded from this Tournament.
- No armour, other weapons, prayers, magic, range nor food or potions will be permitted at any moment during a match.
- No movement is allowed.
- No obstacles allowed. All matches will take place in the first arena.
- Each player will stake atleast 1 item of any value to determine the winner or a draw via logs if needed. If it occurs that the logs need to be checked and no items were staked, the match will be redone regardless of perceived outcome.
- It is recommended you set your tournament match rules to the aforementioned rules to prevent disqualification.
- If any participant fails to oblige to these terms, he/she will be disqualified and cannot participate in the tournament any longer.
- If any participant is disqualified, the opponent of the match the participant was planned for, will be declared the winner.
- Staff members hold the right to kick players who do not play an official Tournament match in the Tournament arena during the time of the event.
The matches will follow a knock-out bracket system:
The first matches will all be in BO1 format (Best of 1), the quarterfinals (last 8 players) will be in BO3 format and the final and the 3rd place match will be in BO5 format.

Sooo every player can participate with however many acocunts he wants?
Theres probably twice as many staff members then noobs that think its unfair for them to participate
By accepting the rule for staff not to be able to participate it just shows that it is actually unfair for staff-members to participate, which it isnt?

Also you said Ironman/staff member ACCOUNTS leaving reason to believe that just like ironmen staff members can also go on unranked accounts and participate?

The reason that staff accounts are excluded is because a lot of players deem it bias if a staff member wins (there's no extra chance for staff winning but there will still be players thinking they cheat/are privileged) especially when he/she is also involved by keeping the tournament organised. With the dragon santa giveaway it was very obvious a lot of players were annoyed that staff members could win them (and in that case, one actually did).
Ironman accounts are ofcourse excluded because they cannot trade or duel items.
Any other regular account, even if your main is a staff/iron man account, is allowed to participate.
I'm allowing enough time before the tournament to level a second account if your accounts are not eligible.

I'd rather not cuz, like i explained prior, if I do so I also risk accidentally disqualifying someone's brother that signed up earlier than his sibling (obviously i cannot guarantee sibling so second one wont be able to participate) but i don't want to ruin it for both.
Also i updated the rules only a few days ago so some didn't read it.

You cant unless you make a new account on a computer that is not related to sarah and you do not log in on any computer that is heavily used by the account sarah and that account would then have to be trained to be suitable for the tournament. There's more than one and a half month left so if you have your own computer available that should be doable
