According to the french authorities the leading pilot left the cabin (to go to the toilet or whatever) the co-pilot locked the cabin and crashed the plane on purpose (no he didn't get a seizure or something). Concluded on the single found black box contents.

RIP passengers, this was done on purpose sadly.

Can't believe that the doctor didn't notify the company. But if that's the case then instead of blaming the pilot blame the doctors and the flying company.

It wasn't up to the doctor to inform the company though. He wrote a note and he probably couldn't do more, since normally every person gives to note to their employer..

If you're a doctor and you have a airplane pilot coming to you with such "mental illness" then it doesn't matter if it's "up to you" or not. The guy is responsible of thousands of lives per month and contacting the employer should have been done.
But I have to point out that we here probably don't know even half of the story. It's a shame that such things still happen in the 21st century and our thoughts should be with the victims.
