Dark bow

The Dark bow is a special and powerful bow that requires 75 Range to use. The Dark bow fires two arrows in one attack, hitting the target twice. However, the Dark bow has the slowest attack speed of the game, together with the Dharok's greataxe.

The Dark bow has a special attack that requires 1/2th of your special energy bar. The special attack fires two arrows in the form of dragon heads that aim at your foe, able to cause major damage.

The Dark Bow is one of the weapon with most updates, since players felt it was too strong. From there on it was nerfed to have a lower maxhit, this caused the combat triangle to be unbalanced due to the fact that melee has powerful hits and mage has strong benefits. The Dark bow got updated for the 3rd time with a massive increase in damage. They were able to one hit KO a player in wilderness which caused their prices to massively skyrocket and be used excessively in the wilderness. The wilderness soon got dominated by rangers which lead to (after several complaints) an update which weakened the dark bow again. The price declined from then and is stable now.

Abyssal demons were the monsters who dropped a Dark bow along with an Abyssal Whip. Players needed 85 Slayer and membership to be able to kill them. An update that was added on August 16, 2012 changed this and made the Dark bow attainable by killing Dark Beasts which requires 90 Slayer
